We gave New Orleans a miss. Visited there in 09 so it was not time to go back yet.

The next stop was for a swamp tour in the Atchafalaya Swamp. map wp 22

 This is a swamp version of what I did in Bermuda only smaller, 6 pax max. Minnow would not be bumping & grinding over the submerged stumps here.

 Launch ramp between the lanes of the Atchafalaya Swamp expressway. 30 miles of elevated highway.

 Saw quite a few of these fishing floating fishing shacks.

A 1960s vintage shallow water platform which is now a museum & education center for the oil industry.  Well worth a few hours to go through. map wp26
