A number of you who were regular recipients of our logs posted directly to you on email have asked "What happened? Where are the logs from your last trip?" Well... there were none. Between finding that elusive roundtooit & not being sure how many actually read the logs I didn't really bother last time around.

Responding to apparent demand I'll have another go at doing the logs but using the blog so that I don't clog up your computers memory.

I'll start with our 2010 fall trip to New Mexico.

We have basically done this before, the Albuquerque Hot Air Balloon Fiesta being the 'anchor event' if you will. This time routes out & back were a bit different as were events attended along the way.

Sep 4th: As usual the trip officially started from Severn Marine, Tilghman Island, Maryland with the required maintenance & stocking.

First major stop was Poppy Mountain in NE Kentucky for a Bluegrass Festival. This one was huge. Over 1000 RVs. Best defined as Woodstock for hillbillies. The moonshine, illegal of course, was flowing. RVs were spread of a huge area. If you did not have your own ATV or golf cart, you did not fit in with this crowd. Music was going silmultaneously from at least 4 locations.
