Some more

OK, that first one did not appear as planned. The pics were supposed to follow the text. Ah well, trying again.

Here are a few pics while still in Maryland. The boats are called Log Canoes. Google them for details. anyway, like the Bermuda Fitted dinghys they are very old, very difficult to sail , prone to sinking, beautiful & great fun to watch racing, even if you are not a sailor.

Next stop after Poppy was the Land Between the Lakes western Kentucky.

Enjoyed an afternoon on the water. That is.. after we had a break down, got going again, then had to tow the towboat that was sent out to get us.




Poor Carolyn. She was subjected to yet another dose of aviation. This time the location was Witchita, Kansas. Great airshow until it was time for the Thunderbirds to perform. That is when a thunderstorm rolled in, complete with hail & tornado warning. Lucky for us it turned out to be a good dumping of rain & some wind,

Really nice to see some of the old aircraft fly.
